If you checked out the first page of the site I'm sure you saw the bad news. Michel of Twincruisers/Hall of creations fame has passed. My condolences goes out to his brother Rene and the rest of the family. I never met them or spoke to them, but when you're visiting these forums and yo see people post artwork, comments, or whatever, it actually starts to feel like you know these people. That may sound kinda lame but I'm sure some of you know where I'm coming from.
Next update will feature the redesign of the site. I'll have new links, new art, new affiliates, and maybe a new artist. I wanna do some profiles for everyone so you can get to know the clique. We'll see how that turns out.

yep, no more site of the month deals. From now on you'll just have to check out the links page. This update is just a pin-up of Ezra from Arcana Studio's next title. They've released Kade and the sold out Ant so far! Ezra's next and these guys are just starting!
As for the new affiliates, why wait until next week. Here's everything that is cool. I'll be assisting in the penciling of Strong Dragon, written by Bryan Fischer. DarkSaviors is still coming along slowly. Issue 1 is done and I'm starting issue 2 soon. And while you're checking out Everything that is cool don't forget to swing by the forum. Things are just starting up but from just looking through the site and forum you'll know these guys mean business.

I'm almost done with the redesign. You can expect Art Official Studios v.2.0 to premier in April. I was gonna make it graphic heavy but some of us still use dial up so I changed my ideas for it. Maybe I'll do it for v.3.0. I also decided to hold off on uploading the scripts until AOSv.2.0. Artofficial Studios member, Morgan, is helping me finalize everything and he has some awesome ideas! He is also creating the script for issue 3 as I type this. I was gonna post the summary on this update but I'll wait until April for that too.

Yep, school IS slowing me down a bit but I'll manage, I always do. This update, we have some more of Loren's work and ... that's it. Next update, I'll (hopefully) have the scripts/summary of issue 1 and 3 of the DarkSaviors up along with some profiles of the Murder 1 crew. Issue two is just plain action with DS vs Murder 1 so I'm not doing a script for that, just page layouts to guide me from point a to point b. Loren may have something new to show for the next update too.

In preperation for the redesign of the site I would like to introduce a new member to the studio...Loren Meyer! I love this guys work and I'm so happy that he decided to join the studio. I'm sure you'll all like it too. Below is some of his sketches and colored pieces. I'll be working on his gallery page really soon. I told y'all I'm trying to expand and shed some light on some talented individuals. As for the redesign I got all of the main pages 80% done, I just gotta hook up the gallery and work on everyones contact page. Again, don't expect nothing flashy, it's just a little upgrade from this site. I also got some Alliance pics done that I will be posting soon.

Not much going on. I'm looking to expand on the studio, you know, a few more artists, a few more writers, and a few colorist. All in due time though. I still gotta redesign the site. All of my free time has been going to sequentials. I hope to have the new design up by April, hopefully sooner. (February would be nice:) The script for the first few pages of issue one will be up next update and maybe some more pages from the issue. Issue 1 is almost done! I'm about 17 pages into it now, just a few more to go. School starts up real soon ( NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!) so I may be slowed down. We'll see.

Happy New Years everyone. I hope you all enjoyed your Christmas. Mine was pretty good. As for my New Year's Resolution, I've decided that I want to try to be mean for a change. I have my reasons (long story). I haven't really got anything accomplished as far as my art go. Actually I've been working on this Teen Titans pic but I haven't finished it yet. You can click on it below. I still have to add Beast Boy and fix up Supergirl's arm (someone pointed out how her left arm looks likes it coming out of her right, oops!) My scanner is still down so I don't have many pics to upload at the moment so I just decided to color some professional pieces. Practice makes perfect and it's a fun change of pace. I also added a few new links so be sure to check them out.

Sequentials are up! I'm actually about 13 pages into issue one so far. I should have issue one done by January since I have a lil' break from school coming up. Can't wait to start on issue two, Action, action, action! Fights and car chases! The script is still being finalized. A friend of mine is helping me to put things together right now since I haven't been able to get in touch with Reza (09/01/03 update). Anyway, I've added the first ten pages of issue one to the sequentials section or you can just click below. When the script gets complete I'll add the text to the pages so you could follow the story. Also I'm gonna start doing commissions if anyone is interested. I'll have more on that next update, or you could just hit me up now if you want to commission me to draw something.

I finally fixed my computer but now it doesn't recognize my scanner and I can't seem to find the CD to reinstall it so this update was kinda thrown together. As a result I wasn't able to post the rest of the sequential pages that I've completed. Hopefully I'll be able to next update.

I would like to start of by saying Matrix Revolutions was tight!!! I know a lot of people complain about the ending but how else would you do it without adding more questions. The ending that the W. Bros chose tied up all of the loose ends. I think the ending was just right. I won't say too much, I don't want to spoil anything for those who haven't seen it yet. Let's see what I have for this update... more of my attempts at coloring. I like them but I feel I could do so much better, or maybe I should just stick to the pencil. Not much else going on. Next update I'll have some more DarkSaviors pages and maybe I'll add the words to the pages so you could see how the story is developing.

Another skimpy update. Not much to say really. I think that I got all of the kinks out of my links, take a look. If you find any broken links, holla at me. I decided to post an illustration from a class project. I know that the concept for this has been done before but I never did it so here's my attempt. I also added a summary of the background story to the DarkSaviors. Probably something no one expected but it explains where K'tarh comes from and why Kyana/Catastrophe is important. The road from issue #1 to the arrival of K'tarh is going to be the fun part.

I have practically nothing for this update. I've been so busy with school and work, but, I did manage to color some pictures. I colored a picture of The Bride vs GoGo from Kill Bill. (The movie was too sick! Can't wait for vol. 2 and the possible animated prequel!) It was drawn by Ty and I couldn't resist so I added my colors to it. I also colored a few of my Cobrastrike pictures. I think that they came out pretty good. I do see some improvements in my work, but there's still room for more.

Not much is going on with me. Same old, same old. I went searching for some new links to add to my page and I discovered a real gem.
is the site of the month. This guy definitely inspires me. You can find some more sites featuring his work on the links page along with a lot of new links. As for this update, I added some sketches of Cobrastrike, a team of genetic mutations. I also added a pin up of Batgirl, Nightwing, and Robin. I really like the way this came out. The site is still in the process of being redone I'm just taking my time. It'll still be kinda plain though, I don't want anything fancy.

I'm still working on the first issue. It's coming out slowly but surely. With school, work and me running out of bristol, it's coming out slower than I would like. This update I put up some sketches of a possible outfit for Kyana and Tracy as well as some cover ideas featuring them for the series. I figured outfits would be a lot more fun to do than costumes. At least for a while. I also added the pencil version of the CobraStrike cover preliminary and a face shot of Alex since I don't draw him that often. The profiles are also up so you can get a little more info on the characters. Murder 1 profiles are coming soon. Next update I'll add some pictures of the guys and Nebula, or maybe some CobraStrike illustrations.
School starts Sept. 2nd for the kid (sigh) so updates might be a little skimpy from now on. As for this update I uploaded some pictures for the group, Murder 1. I'm working on their profiles next. Speaking of profiles, the profiles for the DarkSaviors are complete and will be up next update thanks to fellow Art Official Studios member, Halreza. Welcome to the studio. Also, Street Fighter #1 comes out this Wednesday so I did a couple illustrations of Chun-Li and Cammy. And, last but not least, I added the first four pages of DarkSaviors #1 to the sequential page. I will put the script up for it when it gets finalized. It's mainly dialogue between Catastrophe and a mysterious character but more on that at a more appropriate time. Also the pages are not quite finished so keep that in mind while viewing them. As for the site of the month, how about,

Yes this update is early too, but it's better to be early than late right? I went to Wizard World Chicago this past weekend and had a blast. I got to meet a lot of artist and independent creators. I showed my portfolio to many of them and got some good reviews as well as some bad but all of the comments were helpful. As you can see on this update I'm still trying to learn this coloring thing. The images look pale in comparison to what they look like in Photoshop because I did them in CMYK. I'll redo them in RGB and post them at a later time to show the difference. I also added my sequentials that I did for the Exiles. I've been on a Marvel fix for a few months now. First there were the X-Men, now it's the Exiles, and next is Spider-Man. After that I'll focus on sequentials for a creator owned project, most likely the DarkSaviors. I may post up more of my DS practice pages but they're kinda old and I feel that they don't show what I'm capable of doing now. I should just go back and touch them up a little. Next update I'll post some pictures of the villian team that I have planned for the first story arc of the DarkSaviors. Oh yeah, Before I forget I have a new contact address. It may be getting changed again soon but I'll keep everyone updated.

Actually it's July 29 but my schedule is kinda busy during the next couple of days so here's the update. I would like to start this update off with a big THANK YOU to everyone who critiqued the last update of my sequential work. Your comments have really opened my eyes to things that I need to work on, mostly backgrounds. I have already started revising many of the pages and I must say that they do look a lot better. From now on I'm going to try to dedicate the majority of my updates to my creations. I'm also thinking of changing some of the pages slightly but I'm not really sure yet. I almost missed my update. I've been having a little trouble with my internet service and I couldn't log on all day, but it's here. Just added a few original character illustrations and a picture of the ninja turtles that I've been working on. I need to work on my coloring a little (ok, a lot) so I'll be sitting in front of my Mac in between drawing pictures. Next update I'll add some more licensed characters, maybe I'll even add a sketch link with some of my thumbnails/sketches if I can find them.

Not much is going on. I'm working on organizing the site a little. I added the site links to the top of some of the pages for easier navigation and I'm going to do some more stuff later. Right now I'm working on some submission work. I'll post that up at another time.

As I update my site I am getting ready to go and see The Matrix Reloaded. X2 was tight but this is what I've been waiting for! Anyway, I updated the site with a few images on the licensed characters page. Added a pic of Felicia from Darkstalkers, a pic of Storm from the X-men, Bloodrayne and I also inked the Sagat picture. Next Update I'll probably add some original pictures of my own.

Added new images to the gallery for other projects, I am currently working on some submission work. I'll post those images on the site later. I also lowered the file size on a lot of the thumbnails. Hopefully, the pages will load a lot faster.
